Welcome to Château Nighthawk!
Here are some travel details to most fully enjoy your trip.

If the reservations are full then wait 30 days prior to your sailing and more reservations become available to book.
The ferry’s do get full in the summer, and it is not unreasonable to wait 5-8 hours in a standby line.

You will want to make a reservation both arriving and departing the island. You will need to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the departure.
Ferry Fairs
The ferry drive on fee is $53.70 for the car and first person. $13.25 per additional passenger (Senior and children pricing is offered). This price includes your return trip to the mainland. The ferry ride is 60-90 minutes depending on which islands it stops at along the way. You will only be charged a ferry fee going from the mainland to the island. However, you still need to make reservations for your departure from the island to the mainland.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Google maps or GPS is accurate:
- Drive to “Anacortes Ferry terminal”
- Then put 65 Aerie Rd Orcas once you get off the ferry.
Detailed Directions:
Directions from Seatac Airport: (This drive is 1 hour 45 min -2 hours 30 min depending on traffic)
- Take I5 North through Seattle for ~ 76 miles
- Take exit 230 Hwy 20 west. ~14.4 miles
- At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto Commercial Ave (there is a Safeway grocery store in town if you decide to stock up on groceries, food on the island is ~20% more) .2 miles
- Take a left on 32nd St .9 miles
- Turn right on D Ave 1.1 miles
- Turn left onto 12th St 2.8 miles
- At the Y in the road, stay to the right and you have arrived at the pay station for the ferry.
When you land on Orcas Island:
Take a left as you drive up the road (most of the cars will be going this way so follow the flow of traffic).
- Follow Orcas road for 8 miles.
- Take a right on Main St and drive through the Village 1.3 miles
- You come to a T in the road and a stop sign by the gas station. Go straight through road off centered with the stone pillars on either side.
- Drive up the steep windy road 2.4 miles to Aerie Rd.
- The first drive way on the right brings you to the gate of the property.
